“If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.”
~Anne Bradstreet
Spring is finally here! In Northern California we have been getting a lot of rain lately, and mild storms.
Getting a sky full of sunshine and beautiful clouds, was a great change!

These pictures were taken in Sonoma County. For those of you that have not heard of Sonoma County, it is a very scenic place. From its rolling hills, to the many wineries! It is also a very historic county. As early as 1920, Sonoma County was ranked as the eighth most agriculturally productive U.S county and a leading producer of poultry products, hops, grapes, prunes, apples and dairy products, largely due to the abundance of high quality irrigation water. It is very beautiful in Spring. Trees blooming, Mustard Flower fields coming alive, and coating the hillsides with a very vibrant yellow, and green.

A couple weeks before the shoot, I had gone out and scouted for a couple different locations to photograph, it was hard finding the “perfect” location for this shoot. So many to choose from, so I decided to go with the yellow mustard field and the abandoned train station! I did have a buddy come out to photograph as well, his name is Steven Santiago. Very good buddy of mine. His work is pretty amazing! Here is one of his shots that he took of me while shooting Nikki!

Photographing Nikki was amazing, the whole shoot came together perfect. I came in knowing what kind of images I wanted, I pushed myself creatively and got exactly what I wanted. I haven taken all of the constructive criticism into mind, which is awesome to have as a photographer. We only grow from this! I have a good friend out in Texas who is also a photographer, he always gives me awesome pointers, and good motivation! Tony Walls is a great guy, and his work is AMAZING!! I provided a link to his flickr if you wanted to stop by and check it out!

Hope you enjoy the pictures, and the random facts, just a little bit of where I’m from, and a little of what goes through my mind
